When Margo's father dies, she becomes an heiress to billions from her mother, whom she's only just met. She is sent to her mother's private island after terrorist threats to kidnap her for ransom money. Margo thinks the summer will be spent getting to know her mom, but when she arrives her mom is not only absent, but has no plans to arrive any time soon. Instead, she spends her days avoiding or arguing with the handsome Logan Greer who works for her mom on the island.
Margo and Logan have a love-hate relationship that is hormonally charged from the moment they meet. I enjoyed their stubbornness and arguing. While the story was entertaining, I would have liked some more drama surrounding the kidnappers and some more details as to what Logan accomplished or didn't accomplish with his family. This book is probably better suited for a more mature young adult audience. Before You Go was a pleasant little short story, perfect as a weekend or beach read.
