I'm a huge fan of Mary Ting, so when I heard about this book, From Gods, I knew it would be great. It was! Mary is an amazing story teller. From the very beginning of From Gods I was lured in. This is a fast paced read that I absolutely couldn't put down. Skyler's life is about to change, and as a reader, I felt like I was going through it with her and learning about her as she learned about herself. She is a character that had some growth through this story, and still has some more growth to come. She's had a lot thrust upon her in a short amount of time, so this will take some adjusting. I just want to hug Mason. He's very protective of his heart. He's had a rough past and his future is insecure, so it makes sense for him to be guarded. I liked watching his wall start to crumble. These are characters I could really grow attached to. Heck I already am attached to them. I love the mythology/paranormal combination that makes up this story. I'm excited for more. I want to know more about what the prophesies say too. There is so much to look forward to in this series, and I can't wait for more!!
