Life wasn't what Sophie was expecting, so why should death be any different?
She’s come back from swimming between the two, and every problem she left is still there. And then some.
There’s the human world, where she has a brother on the verge of ruins, band mates all set to go on tour, and people she thought she wouldn't be seeing for a long time showing up.
Then there’s her new world, where she’s seeing and hearing things that should not be heard or seen. Where Myles knows more about her than she could have ever guessed. She still doesn't know exactly why Michael is tormenting her, but somehow, everything is connected.
The monsters are closing in on all sides and the question is, will Sophie be able to defeat them before it all ends?
Sun Damage is the third and final book in the Sunshine series by Nikki Rae. Sophie is having a hard time adjusting to her new life. Her body isn't adapting like it should. So, it's more than just mental and emotional issues, which are difficult enough as it is. It's never easy for poor Sophie. This series has been an emotional roller coaster, that's for sure. There is so much that went in to Sophie as a character. She's not perfect. She's had a rough life. She has problems. All these things make her easy to relate to. To me, this book is about trust. Who can Sophie trust? But of course it's not just that. There is also someone trying to kill her still. I was sad to see this series end, but all loose ends are tied up nicely. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the ending as a whole. It wasn't what I expected, which I was glad for, but I'm still not sure how I feel about it. The Sunshine Series offers something different to the paranormal romance genre. These aren't your usual vampires, this isn't your usual romance, and the characters aren't dealing with the usual issues. These books will definitely keep you guessing.

own.
Nikki Rae is a student and writer who lives in New Jersey. When she is not writing, thinking, or reading, she is most likely hanging out with her gecko, Neil Gaiman, drawing in a quiet corner, or drinking tea by the gallon. Sunshine is her first book.

I've seen this series over the blog world before. Would you recommend the first two books of the series?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I recommend the whole series. It's different from the usual vampire stories out there, and i love that. :o)
