It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.
Threatened by false friends and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, can their love survive through the ever night?
Through the Ever Night is the second book in the Through the Never Sky trilogy by Veronica Rossi. This one started off a little slower for me than the first book. Well, I take that back. Actually it started off pretty good, then slowed up for quite a while, then got really good again. Aria and Perry spent a good portion of this book apart, and that always makes it a little harder on me as the reader to stay focused. For whatever reason, that happens a lot in second books, but we get to know Roar a little more intimately, and I enjoyed him quite a bit, even if my heart broke and broke again for him. I've kind of wondered if he's going to turn this story into a love triangle. I thought so early on, but now, I'm not sure. I can see it going either way. We get to meet some new characters too. I'm not sure what Kirra and her temptation over Perry was for, unless it's something that's going to be used against him later. That whole bit bothered me. This is an interesting trilogy. I'm not quite sure where it's going to go next, but I'm anxious to find out.
