My teaser this week is from Vaempires: Revolution by Thomas Winship:

It seemed as if the woman had been killed without even trying to defend herself. In fact, one manicured hand was still clasped to an upright beverage cup, from which slight traces of heat emanated as it slowly cooled to air temperature.
