My Review:
UnEnchanted is the first book in the An Unfortunate Fairy Tale Series. I was completely swept up by this story. This was such a fun book to read. I enjoyed all the characters. They all play a part. Literally. And sometimes more than one part. I could really see Mina grow into her character as the plot thickened. Poor girl, she has such horrible luck. Now we know why. The Grimm Curse and the way the "Story" re-writes itself to fit the times and the situation made the reading experience unpredictable. Sure, we all know how the real fairy tales end, and even some of the alternate endings that have been passed down, but that all makes no difference in UnEnchanted. It all depends on what the "Story" wants. UnEnchanted is a little bit of a fairy tale, a little bit of a fairy tale re-telling, yet it's neither because it completely re-writes and changes everything making the original fairy tales almost unrecognizable. Do I even make sense? No, not really. That's why you must read it, because then you'll get what I'm saying.
