Everlasting Bond is the debut novel by Christine M. Besze. This book kept my attention for the most part, but it was a struggle to stay focused at times. The second half is definitely better than the first half. As a reader, you will figure many things out long before the main character. I wish Katrina would have embraced some of the opportunities presented to her rather than dragging her feet. After everything that happened within this story, I don't know why she's so hesitant. It doesn't  make sense to me. Also, she's a damsel in distress quite a bit & comes off as weak. I'm ready to see her fight! In her defense, she is left unprotected for a good portion of the story. The bad guys are out to get her, she's left all but abandoned, and we aren't given a good answer as to why. So, needless to say, I have a lot of questions. Why is Cole keeping so many secrets? Why doesn't anybody tell her what's going on? Why does she become attracted to someone else so quickly? Why? Why? Why?

Aside from all my questions, I did enjoy reading this story. This is only book one in the series, so I'm hoping we'll get answers in upcoming books. I am super curious to know what happens next. I really, really hope Katrina grows some lady balls!
