Tour! A Review of Stone of Destiny by Laura Howard

Stone of Destiny (The Danaan Trilogy #2) by Laura Howard
Genre: New Adult (Paranormal/Fantasy Romance)
Date Published: April 22, 2014
Publisher: Self

Allison thought it was crazy enough when she found out her father, Liam, wasn't entirely human. But now she has to join his magical allies to unravel his former mistress's plans. Aoife wants to keep Allison's parents apart forever.

Despite Allison's efforts to keep Ethan, the only guy she's ever cared about, out of this supernatural mess, fate keeps throwing him back into the mix.
Will Allison be able to find the amulet that holds the enchantment Aoife placed on Liam and destroy it? Are Ethan' s feelings for Allison strong enough to endure the magic of the Tuatha De Danaan?

Stone of Destiny is the second book in the Danaan Trilogy by Laura Howard. You definitely need to read these books in order as there is much you need to know from book one before you can start book two. Especially since there are so many characters with very unique names.

I was expecting a little more within this story, because as far as the plot goes, I don't feel like we made very much progress from where the last book ended and where this one ended. Allison has really adapted to her new life quite well though. It suits her. She wants to learn about it all and takes responsibility for everything. I like how her relationship with Ethan is progressing. Ethan is pretty swoonworthy this time around. We get to meet a few new characters too. I'm still not entirely sure what to think of them, but we'll see what happens in the upcoming books.

author
Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.

  1. Great review! I like the sounds of this series overall, and even though teh plot didn't progress as much as you had hoped it sounds like it has good character and relationship growth!
