Celtic Viking is the first novella in the Heart of the Battle series by Lexy Timms. I liked the idea behind this story, and I don't think I've read anything fictional with Vikings in it yet, so I was pretty excited about it. However, it didn't grab me, and once it did, it ended. So, that was a major disappointment. I'm not a major history buff, but there were some things that even I knew weren't authentic to the time and culture. For example, I'm pretty sure the Celts didn't say: "I know, right?" There wasn't much plot yet, this was pretty much just an introduction to the main characters. While Erik's character was intriguing, I don't think it was enough to inspire me to read the next book.
