Book Review of Enigma by Tonya Kuper, Plus Guest Post!

Enigma (Schrodinger's Consortium #2) by Tonya Kuper
Genre: Young Adult (Fantasy/Science Fiction/Romance)
Date Published: June 1, 2010
Publisher: Entangled: Teen

The highly anticipated sequel to Anomaly will be released the summer of 2017!

Worst. Road Trip. Ever.

Escaping with Reid Wentworth should have been fun, but how can I enjoy it when I just (accidentally) killed someone, my mom and brother are in danger, and the Consortium is trying to enslave humanity? (Yeah, they aren’t fooling around.) So feeling something for Reid Wentworth was not part of the plan. Trying to help unite the Resistance against the Consortium means I can’t be distracted by hot boys.

The Resistance secret hideout isn’t exactly the rebel base of my dreams. A traitor there wants me dead, but we have no idea who it is. And with both the Resistance and the Consortium trying to control me, the only one I can trust is Reid. If we’re going to have any chance of protecting my family, controlling my unstable powers, and surviving the clash between the Oculi factions, I’m going to have to catch this traitor. By using myself as bait.

Enigma is the second and final book in the Schrodinger's Consortium duology by Tonya Kuper. I enjoyed this book so much more than the first one. We needed book one to get us introduced to the characters, their powers, and their world. But now in this book we can finally get down to the meat and potatoes of what's going on. We still don't know who's safe or who we can trust this time around. People may not be who they seem. That definitely makes things tricky. Josie impresses me so much. Not because she has all this power, but despite this power, she's still flawed. She doubts herself. She panics. She made me shake my head a time or two. She's human, and I love that she is so real. Well.. fictionally speaking anyway. Needless to say, she's a fantastic character.

There's only one thing I'm left wondering about in regards to the serum. I read a section over and over, but it's still unclear to me. Unfortunately, it's also a spoiler, so I can't say much more. Honestly, I didn't think it could all be wrapped up in just two books, but it was. It may have happened a little quickly this time, but I like the end result all the same.

The ARC of Enigma by Tonya Kuper was kindly provided to me by the publisher through NetGalley for review. The opinions are my own.

If Super Powers Were Real ..... by Tonya Kuper

Okay, I’m having fun with this & making a list of “if’s”! 😊

If super powers were real, I’d totally want a power for myself, like the ability to move at lightning speed similar to Quick Silver because vacuuming is so time consuming.

If super powers were real, things would eventually not be so good for the super heroes – I mean, Captain America and Iron Man are at each other’s throats, and someone always wants an infinity stone. Batman versed Superman. It just keeps ending in disaster.

If super powers were real, I hope someone would use those powers for good, like to help distribute food to the hungry and eliminate calories from chocolate.

If super powers were real, we’d have a bunch of people who were either part animal or had animal-like characteristics. (Ex: Batman, Rocket Raccoon, Wolverine, Ant Man, etc.)

If super powers were real, I’d buy stock in spandex.

If super powers were real, I’d hangout with Dead Pool.
Don't forget to check our my review of the first book!
