Cold-Hearted Rake  is the first book in The Ravenels series by Lisa Kleypas. I grew attached to these characters pretty quickly. Not just Kathleen and Devon, but also Helen, the twins, and especially Devon's brother, West. I really hope he gets his own story in the future. There's just something fun about characters who hate each other. It adds all the more to their chemistry. I don't think Kathleen was trying to be a pain in the butt on purpose. Okay, maybe sometimes she was, but I think she had a lot of guilt and unfinished business, so she was trying to be perfect... and messing up royally at it. It kept Devon on his toes. I enjoyed their story, and after the ending that was like a teaser for the next book, I'm looking forward to Helen's story, because I think there's more to the gruff Mr. Winterborne than what he wanted us to see.
