Originally published in 1990

Country Bride by Debbie Macomber was a cute and quick read. Kate is heartbroken. The man she thought she was going to spend her life with has married someone else. So, she's not ready to jump into another relationship yet, even if this other man is practically her best friend. He won't take no for an answer though, and quite honestly, if he came at me the way he pressured her... just no. It would have been over before it began. Anyway, Kate kinda felt that way too through most of the book. You saw glimpses of her denial here and there, so I knew there were some feelings, but when she finally admitted to them, I'm not sure I really believed it. I needed to feel more chemistry between them. They were cute though!
