A Court This Cruel & Lovely is the first book in the Kingdom of Lies series by Stacia Clark. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I thought Prisca was a fantastic lead character, and I felt the chemistry between her and Lorian. I loved Lorian's almost dry humor. It suited him, and his interactions with Prisca were fun and sometimes steamy. I hope that now that things are out in the open, we'll get to know some of these characters a little more in depth in the next book. There was some time in the middle where things lagged a little, but the ending was not what I was expecting. I'm ready to get my hands on that second book
